Оборудование: иллюстрации по теме урока; копии текста песни с заданием.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

— Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, teacher!)

— Who’s absent today?

II. Актуализация знаний

1. Работа с песней

— Today we’re going on to read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I’d like to start the lesson with Alice’s song. Listen to the song and say how Alice feels in Wonderland.

(Ученики слушают аудиозапись песенки Everything Changes и отвечают на вопрос: She feels confused.

Учитель раздает копии текста песни с заданием.)

— Listen to the song again and circle the correct words.

(Ученики слушают аудиозапись и выполняют задание, затем проверяют свои ответы по тексту песни в книге для чтения на с. 38.)

I don’t know what is true/truth here.

Everything is strange/change.

And everything can strange/change.

Упр. 3 (с. 32, Episode 3).

1 — Alice sees the White Rabbit. 2 — The White Rabbit drops a fan and a pair of gloves. 3 — Alice picks up the fan and gloves. 4 — Alice becomes small again. 5 — Alice drops the fan on the floor. 6 — Alice tries to open the tiny door. 7 — Alice tries to get the key. 8 — Alice falls into some water. 9 — Alice sees a mouse, a dodo, a duck and a baby eagle. 10 — Alice and the animals swim to the shore.

Упр. 3 (c. 32, Episode 4).

1 — Dinah can catch birds. 2 — The Dodo wants to run a race. 3 — Alice gives the animals sweets. 4 — The Mouse ran away. 5 — Alice misses her cat. 6 — The Dodo says that everyone is the winner.

(После этого ученики обсуждают вопросы из упр. 4 на с. 32 (Episode 4) сначала в парах, а затем все вместе.

Предполагаемые ответы:

— The animals and birds go away from Alice because she talks about her cat Dinah. They don’t like Dinah because she can catch birds and mice.

— Alice is very sad at the end because she scared away all the animals.

— Alice will probably walk away from the shore and meet other creatures.)

— Look at the picture on page 16.

— Alice is in front of the little house.

— The sign tells that the White Rabbit lives in the house.

— Read the title and look at the picture on page 17. What do you think is going to happen in this episode? (Alice is going to grow big inside the house.)

(Ученики читают текст в сопровождении аудиозаписи и проверяют свои ответы. Затем учащиеся отвечают на вопросы из упр. 4 (с. 33).

Предполагаемые ответы:

1 — Pat, Bill and Mary Ann work for the White Rabbit. The White Rabbit shouts at them when he speaks to them. 2 — I don’t think the White Rabbit is a good boss. He shouts at his helpers and is very bossy. 3 — Alice puts cakes in her pocket so she can grow smaller again if she needs to. 4 — Alice is going to find more people to meet.)

— At home listen and read Episode 5 again, then do Exercise 3.

Keys: Alice sees another little house. A man in uniform opens the door. Alice goes into the house. The cat smiles at Alice. The Duchess gives the baby to Alice. Alice takes the baby outside.)

— At home listen and read Episode 6 again, then do Exercise 2. Get ready to discuss the questions in Exercise 3.
