Spotlight on Russia: Dachas - HERE WE ARE

Цель: создать условия для совершенствования языковых и речевых навыков в ситуации речевого общения по теме “Дачи”.

Оборудование: иллюстрации по теме урока.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

— Good morning, everyone! (Good morning, teacher!)

— How are you?

— Who isn’t here today?

II. Актуализация знаний

Проверка домашнего задания

— How did you get on with your homework?

(Учитель предлагает нескольким ученикам прочитать свои письменные работы вслух, затем собирает тетради на проверку.)

III. Работа по теме урока

1. Вводная беседа

The subject of today’s discussion is dachas.

(Учитель записывает слово dachas на доске и задает вопросы классу.)

— Who has got a dacha? Have your friends or relatives got a dacha?

— Is it far from the city? Is it big or small?

— Have you got a house (a garden, a playground, a swimming pool, etc.) there?

— When do you go to your dacha? What do you do there?

2. Работа с текстом в журнале Spotlight on Russia

— Open the magazine Spotlight on Russia at the end of your books, page 4. Now we’re going to read the article about dachas. Look at the photos. Who sent them to the magazine?

(Ученики называют имена детей и их возраст.)

— Where are the children from? (Anna is from Tumen. Anton is from Astrakhan. Andrey is from Voronezh.)

— What seasons do the photos show us?

— Whose dacha do you like? Why?

(Учитель читает расположенные перед текстом предложения, обращая внимание учащихся на незнакомые слова (a city slicker, escape). Ученики отвечают на вопросы.)

— Do you agree that many Russians love the countryside?

— Are you a country lover or a city slicker?

— Does your family escape to the dacha every weekend?

(Затем учащиеся читают статью самостоятельно про себя или вслух по частям. Следует убедиться, что все ученики понимают значение слов, указанных в сносках, а также провести краткую беседу о языковых заимствованиях.)

— Is dacha a Russian word or is it from the English language?

— What other words came from the Russian language? (Sputnik, cosmonaut, pelmeni, tsar, etc.)

4. Выполнение заданий в рубрике Activities

(Учитель читает первое задание и предлагает обсудить, что ученики будут говорить по каждому пункту плана.)

— What is a dacha? (A dacha is a plot of land out in the country with a small house and a garden.)

— Where can you find dachas? (They are usually a few kilometres outside the city.)

— How do people use their dachas? (People relax or grow fruit, vegetables or flowers. In the summer they also swim and fish in nearby lakes and rivers.)

(Учитель предлагает нескольким ученикам рассказать с помощью плана, что такое дача. Затем он объясняет третье задание и в качестве образца предлагает письмо с пропущенными словами. Ученики читают письмо и вставляют пропущенные слова, пользуясь текстом интервью.)

IV. Инструктаж по выполнению домашнего задания

— Write a letter about your / your friends’ dacha at home. You can draw a picture of your dacha or stick a photo.

(Ученики выполняют задание дома на отдельных листах или в тетрадях для письменных работ.

Учитель записывает домашнее задание на доске, а ученики — в дневниках:
