Цели: ознакомить с устойчивыми словосочетаниями с глаголами do и mаkе; сформировать лексические навыки по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс»; усовершенствовать навыки аудирования.

Оборудование: карточки со словами для фонетической зарядки; картинки по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс».

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

— Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, Maria Petrovna!)

— I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too.)

— How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

— I’m fine, thank you. Who is absent today? (All pupils are present.)

— And who is on duty today? (Kate is on duty today.)

OK. Let’s start our work.

II. Фонетическая зарядка

It's time to practise the words on the topic “Civilisation and progress". Look at the blackboard and read some words on it.

— Who can translate the words?

Read the words in pairs, please. Make up the word combinations using these words, please.

(Учитель обращает внимание детей на карточки со словами, заранее развешанные на доске. Ученики читают слова хором, в парах и индивидуально, переводят их, а затем составляют из них словосочетания.)

It’s time to have a talk about learning from the past. I’d like you to answer my questions and share your ideas.

(Учитель предлагает ученикам вопросы по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс», на которые они должны дать развернутые ответы. Для проведения речевой разминки учитель на доске заранее развешивает картинки по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс».)

Примерные вопросы:

— What does the word “civilisation” mean?

— How can people learn from the past?

— What makes up a civilisation?

— People learn to control society studying the history, don’t they?

— Why is it important to develop a code of behaviour?

— What positive aspects of learning from the past can you name?

— Why are archaeologists’ discoveries important?

— What do you know about tools of the past?

— What did the first humans look like?

— Did the first humans have a system of values?

— What do you want to learn about the past?

— The Clovis are considered the first humans in Siberia, aren’t they? Etc.

IV. Формирование лексических навыков по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс»

Let’s read and translate the examples from exercise 8, page 88. You can see how to use the following pairs of words. Read the task of exercise 9, page 89. Complete the sentences with the words from exercise 8 on page 88.

(Учитель знакомит учащихся с парами слов из упр. 8 (учебник, с. 88). После прочтения вслух и обсуждения слов и их определений ученики устно выполняют упр. 9 (учебник, с. 89).)

VI. Ознакомление со словосочетаниями с глаголами do и mаkе

Today we shall learn some new word combinations with the verbs do and make. You can see them in your textbooks on page 89, exercise 10. Use the workbooks and write down the words into two columns. We shall listen to your variants and translate the word combinations. Now look at the blackboard and repeat the words after me.

(Ученики выполняют упр. 10 (учебник, с. 89). Задание - составить словосочетания, соотнося слова из таблицы с глаголами do и mаkе. Составленные словосочетания учащиеся записывают в упр. 2 (раб. тетрадь, с. 46). После фронтальной проверки задания учитель открывает данные словосочетания на доске. Для фонетической отработки ученики читают слова вслух хором, по одному и в парах.)

Совершенствование навыков аудирования

It’s time to listen to the dialogues. Open your textbooks on page 89, exercise 11. Listen to the dialogues carefully and complete it using the right form of the verbs do and make.

Read the first dialogue, please.

(Учащиеся выполняют упр. 11 (учебник, с. 89) — прослушивают диалоги и дополняют их, используя глаголы do и таке в соответствующей форме. После прослушивания аудиозаписи ученики по очереди зачитывают диалоги, а остальные учащиеся выражают свое согласие или несогласие. Затем ученики в парах выразительно читают диалоги.)
